Visitor Restrictions – COVID-19 (Updated 6/8/23)
RCH is now open to visitors for non-Covid patients. Patients that have tested positive for Covid may designate (2) visitors for the duration of their stay while in isolation.
Visiting hours are 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Overnight visitation is at hospital discretion. Visitors and family members that have tested positive for Covid will be permitted to visit when their quarantine is complete.

Spiritual Care
We recognize that meeting the spiritual and religious needs of our patients and their families is an important part of caring for the whole person. RCH’s chapel, located right off the front lobby, is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Pastoral care with local pastors or priests is available by calling 785-434-4553.
Free WiFi
Public WiFi is available at no charge to our patients and visitors. Stop by the admission desk for login information.
Cafeteria – temporarily closed
RCH’s dining room and cafeteria is temporarily closed to the public out of caution for the COVID-19 pandemic.
Gifts
The RCH Auxiliary Gift Shop is staffed by hospital volunteers. If volunteers are available, the gift shop is open Monday – Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Tobacco-Free Campus
Effective April 1, 2007, the use of all tobacco products is prohibited within all buildings and on all properties owned by Rooks County Health Center and its subsidiaries and within all vehicles parked on these premises. This policy applies to all employees, patients, medical staff, students, contract personnel, volunteers, visitors and vendors.
All patient rooms at RCH will be smoke-free in order to provide a healthy environment. Patients are not permitted to leave the medical center to go smoke. Patients admitted as inpatients who use tobacco products will be assessed by their admitting physician and, if necessary, tobacco cessation counseling and a nicotine replacement protocol will be implemented for the time that the patient is hospitalized.
All patients upon registration will stipulate to the following via their signature on the general consent to treatment form: I understand that Rooks County Health Center is tobacco-free. I cannot smoke or use tobacco of any kind in my room or anywhere in the hospital or its premises.
Transportation Services
Rooks County Transportation Service serves the elderly, the handicapped and the general public. The service covers all of Rooks County with transportation provided to Graham County, Phillips County, Osborne County and Ellis County.
