A heartfelt “Thank You!” goes out to all of the MD’s, APRN’s and PA’s that bring their skill, commitment and compassion to Rooks County Health Center. Wednesday, March 30 is National Doctors Day in the United States, and RCH is so fortunate to have the quality providers that help make our hospital the example of what a Critical Access Hospital can do for rural America. A day dedicated to honoring doctors was first envisioned by the wife of a doctor in a small, rural town in Georgia. It is observed on March 30, which coincides with the anniversary of the first time a doctor used ether anesthesia on a patient in 1842.
Doctors Day was unofficially celebrated for many years before it was officially commemorated by a resolution passed by Congress in 1958. Everything that is so important about access to quality medical care is exemplified by the staff here at RCH, and today we salute the doctors, APRNs and PAs that are such a vital component of that staff.
Thank you, and a virtual red carnation to: Jen Brull, MD, Emily Decker, PA-C; Jenny Maciaszek, MD; Jerry Molstad, PA-C; Beth Oller, MD; Mike Oller, MD; Dan Sanchez, MD; Ron Williams, APRN and Leann Zimmerman, APRN.
