RCH Clinics
RCH Clinics
RCH clinics are primary care clinics, the kind most often associated with receiving outpatient care in a hospital setting. The providers that staff primary care clinics are doctors, physician assistants or nurse practitioners. The providers at RCH clinics practice general medicine, including family medicine, internal medicine or pediatrics.
Your primary care provider offers a wide range of services in his or her clinic, which may include:
- Vaccinations
- Treatment of common illnesses such as colds, the flu and urinary tract infections
- Annual physicals or sports/school physicals
- Screening and treatment for such conditions as high blood pressure, high cholesterol or diabetes
- Yearly Wellness Visits
In general, the provider in a primary care clinic diagnoses and treats non-emergent health care needs, meaning injury or illness that is not an emergency and that does not present a threat to a patient’s life or risk of permanent disability.
It is necessary to make an appointment for a clinic visit with your primary care provider. Same day appointments for established patients are available.
A primary care provider can support your health by offering on-going and preventive care for you on a long term basis. If you do not have a primary care provider, our staff can assist you in choosing one.
