RCH Auxiliary awarded the Gold Award 8 years in a row from Hospital Volunteers of Kansas.

The Rooks County Health Center Auxiliary (RCHA) has once again received the coveted Gold Award of Excellence awarded by Hospital Volunteers of Kansas (HVK). The 2022 HVK District 5 Meeting and awards ceremony was held in person this year in Hill City.
This marks the 8th year in a row that the incredible volunteers of RCHA have achieved this distinction. Peggy Ogle, past president of HVK, said about the Gold Award “If an Auxiliary misses even one benchmark, they do not receive the Gold Award. It speaks a lot about RCHA and their commitment to supporting their hospital”.
To earn the award, HVK evaluates several areas of service, including involvement in health education programs, health related community service, contributions to health career scholarships and financial contributions to their local hospital.
RCHA’s money making endeavors include the annual bake sale, memorial tree lighting, and the Rooks County Health Center (RCH) Gift Shop. The Auxiliary also contributes to RCH by purchasing safety sleep sacks that are distributed for free to parents of babies born at RCH and sponsoring the annual RCH New Year’s Baby Shower.
RCHA is actively seeking to enlist more volunteers and new members. Membership dues continue to be only $5 per year to join local friends and neighbors in the drive to offer the best possible healthcare for Rooks County and the region.
