At Rooks County Health Center, we feel our providers are more than just medical professionals—they are dedicated members of the community who genuinely care about their patients. Cheyenne Armbruster, PA-C, is a perfect example of a caring provider who goes above and beyond for her patients.
For Armbruster, who grew up in Plainville, one of the most rewarding aspects of rural healthcare is developing personal relationships with her patients. “I love getting to know my patients outside of the healthcare setting,” she shares. “In a small town, your patients are also your neighbors, friends, and family. That personal connection allows for more personalized, compassionate care.”
While rural healthcare has its challenges, Rooks County Health Center works hard to make specialized care accessible. “Seeking care from different specialties can be difficult,” Armbruster explains. “But our hospital does a great job of bringing specialty care closer to home so patients don’t have to travel far for the expertise they need.”
Choosing to work at RCH was an easy decision for her. “RCH is home for me,” she says. “I love that I have the opportunity to provide medical care in my hometown. There’s something special about giving back to the community that shaped you.”
Beyond the familiar faces, it’s the teamwork at RCH that she values most. “I love the team aspect here. Everyone is always willing to come together to do what’s best for our patients. That sense of support makes all the difference in delivering quality care.”
When she’s not caring for patients, Armbruster enjoys an unexpected venture—owning a portable restroom trailer business. “It surprises people, but it’s something unique that I enjoy,” she says with a laugh.
If she weren’t in healthcare, she imagines she’d be planning parties and events. “I think it would be so much fun to be an event planner! I also would love the role of a stay-at-home mom.”
Cheyenne, thank you for all you do here at RCH! We are proud to have you.
