Frank Rajewski, Chief Financial Officer and interim Chief Executive Officer was honored by the Rooks County Health Center (RCH) as its Employee of the Year for 2017.
A Plainville native , Rajewski received his Bachelors degree in Accounting from Fort Hays State University and his Masters degree from Wichita State University. Rajewski has been CFO at RCH for the last 6 years and has served as interim CEO since August of 2017. In addition to his duties as CFO coordinating the finances of RCH, Rajewski has worked diligently as interim CEO to steer the hospital through the administrative challenges faced by a growing critical access hospital.
“We have to ensure that this hospital maintains its competitive edge and long term stability in order to provide the excellent patient care and health care innovation that we are known for state-wide and even nationally,” said Rajewski. “We are committed to quality of service and we will always maintain a culture where excellent patient care and experience is our first priority.”
When asked about the difficulties posed by serving in dual capacities as CFO and CEO, Rajewski noted that RCH had an excellent leadership team and staff throughout every department, whose support has been essential to keeping operations running smoothly at the hospital. He also offered that the RCH Board recently conducted personal interviews with some of the top applicants for the CEO position and is working diligently in identifying the candidate who is best suited to maintain and grow the hospital’s commitment to the best patient care possible.
The RCH Employee of the Year is determined by a vote of all RCH employees. Those with at least five years continuous employment are eligible.
